Sandra de la Casa · Taller de Imagen · Signature hair salon · Valencia

A hair salon with 137 reviews and no website. Now it has both.

Sandra runs a signature hair salon in Valencia. She works alone, by appointment only, and her clients rate her 4.8. What she did not have was somewhere to send the people who found her on Google: no website, and her Google profile had never been claimed. In one week everything that was missing was done, and in the order that matters.

The starting point

Where it started

Before

  • No website. On Google, the “Add website” button.
  • 137 reviews across Google (4.8) and Booksy (4.9), with nowhere to send the people who read them.
  • An unclaimed Google profile: no opening hours and no booking link.
  • Prices only existed inside the booking platform.

The challenge

That anyone who finds her on Google can see what she does, what it costs and book without calling. And to show up in searches for services in her area, which are the ones a small salon really can win.

What was done

Piece by piece, nothing left half-done

Research and local SEO

  • 30 real searches measured with SE Ranking before deciding which pages were needed.
  • One page for each service with its own search demand: highlights and balayage, keratin, women’s cuts, men’s cuts, colour, fallera hairstyles (for Valencia’s Fallas festival) and updos, children’s cuts and eyebrows.
  • A page for people looking for a hair salon near Avenida de Aragón, taken from Google’s autocomplete.
  • Structured data for Google. Registered with Search Console and Bing, with indexing requested page by page.

Design and brand

  • Editorial design based on the reference she chose, with her logo recreated as a vector.
  • Home page with an ambient video that Sandra picked. It does not download with “reduce motion” or data saver turned on, and it pauses when off screen.
  • Real photos of the salon and the shopfront, so people recognise the place when they arrive.
  • A “The salon” page with a gallery of the premises.
  • An Instagram reel with real photos of the salon and the same colours and fonts as the website.

Booking without calling

  • Every booking button leads to Booksy, the platform her clients already used. No forms that duplicate the work.
  • The real price of each service, explaining what it includes and what it does not.
  • On mobile, a fixed bar with “Call” and “Book appointment” always within reach.
  • Real reviews from Google and Booksy on the home page.

Google Business Profile

  • Profile in Sandra’s name, now complete: main category Hair salon, with Beauty salon and Make-up artist as secondary categories.
  • A 687-character description that mentions the area, with no links or offers, which Google does not allow in that field.
  • 22 services with their price and description: 14 predefined by Google and 8 custom ones, the same as on Booksy.
  • Website, social media, real attributes (accessible, good for children, appointment only) and the booking link to Booksy.
  • 15 real photos of the salon, the shopfront and her work, plus cover photo and logo. The stock images used on the website are not uploaded: they are not of the salon.
  • Honest opening hours: Sandra only works by appointment, so the profile does not show hours she would not keep, and the description asks people to book first.
  • Four launch posts prepared, so the profile does not sit still.

Reviews

  • A QR code with the official review link from her profile, ready to reuse as a vector (SVG) and as an image.
  • A counter card with her branding: “¿Te ha gustado? Déjame tu opinión en Google” (“Did you like it? Leave me your review on Google”).
  • Ready to print in A6 at 300 dots per inch, or two per sheet on A4 to cut out at home.
  • Templates for replying to every review, the bad ones too: no arguing in public, and moving it to a phone call.
  • Nothing given away in exchange for reviews and no asking acquaintances in bulk, because Google deletes them and can penalise the profile.

Clients from abroad

  • An English version of the six key pages, because the area has many foreign clients.
  • No promising what is not there: the website says Sandra speaks Spanish and basic English, and sends people to book on Booksy in English.

Legal and technical

  • Legal notice, privacy and cookie policies written according to what the website really does.
  • No first-party cookies or analytics that would require a cookie banner.
  • Static HTML, fast and with a certificate, on a server managed by Meridiano.

Google Business Profile

A tour of the salon, for those who find it on the map

People looking for a hair salon on Google Maps decide by looking at photos. With the real photos of the salon and the shopfront, a 22-second clip was put together for the profile: the shopfront, the door so the entrance is easy to recognise, the room, the stations, the washing area and the reception, each with a short line of text.

It is horizontal and has no music, made to be uploaded to the profile and show the place before people arrive. It is made only with photos of Sandra’s salon, none from a stock library.

Reviews

Getting happy clients to leave a review

Sandra’s profile had 137 reviews across Google and Booksy. To keep them coming, the hard part is the timing: the client leaves happy and forgets. That is why there is a QR code on the counter that goes straight to the review window of her profile, without searching for it or typing anything.

The QR code is generated with the official link Google provides in the profile itself. The card can be printed at home or at a print shop, and the same link can be sent by WhatsApp after the appointment.

  • The QR code also comes as an SVG, to use on any other medium.
  • The house rule: reviews only from people who have been, and never in exchange for a discount.

Video

A reel with real photos of the salon

For Instagram, a 15-second vertical video made with real photos of the salon: the shopfront, the salon, the prices, the reviews and how to book. Each scene has a short line with the same details as the website and Booksy.

It is programmed, not edited by hand: if Sandra changes a price or more reviews come in, the data is changed and it is generated again. And the text sits above the bottom edge, the area Instagram covers with its own interface.

  • Only photos of the salon and the shopfront: none from a stock library.
  • The colours and fonts are those of her brand, the same as on the website.
